Q: How does marijuana affect users?
- Marijuana (referred to as >0.3% THC at Leaf411) can impact the human body both physically and mentally. The “high” or impairment/intoxication from THC can include distorted senses, impaired judgment, lack of balance and coordination, increased appetite, elevated heart rate, and sometimes anxiety and panic. Most importantly, on its own, it will not cause death. The "high" is not necessarily a negative when speaking to users who consume to it for the side effect of increased appetite (cachexia with some diseases make this side effect vital to surviving) and who consume it for the euphoria (used as a stress reliever, disconnect from chronic pain, etc.)
