A list of Hemp derived cannabinoids. Many are found naturally in the cannabis plant, however, others on the market today are created in the lab, with chemical agents, altering Hemp CBD from its natural state. Minimal clinical/pharmacological data is available for these emerging hemp derived synthetic cannabinoids/novel psychoactive substances. Therefore, implications for use are limited to anecdotal evidence. Until proven effects are verified through rigorous testing and healthcare professionals understand how these synthetic cannabinoids work effectively in your body, we cannot safely guide consumers on the use of these products. For those who are curious, consider products that have gone through third party testing and have a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for quality assurance.

CBN- A naturally occurring, non-intoxicating , minor phytocannabinoid, found in Hemp CBD and may be found in old or cannabis/THC flower that has been "aged".

Delta-8 THC- According to Project CBD, “Nearly all the Delta-8 on the market today is produced by chemically tweaking CBD in a laboratory. In other words, it is not directly extracted from the hemp plant but is synthesized from CBD that is directly extracted from the plant.”

THC-O/THC-O Acetate: According to Leafly, THC-O is created by the following: "CBD is extracted from hemp, then delta-8 THC is extracted from the CBD—finally, acetic anhydride is added to the delta-8 molecules to make THC-O acetate." It may be exponentially more potent and psychedelic than naturally occurring Delta 9 THC.

Delta-10 THC- Hemp derived and naturally occurring in low levels from the cannabis plant, Delta-10 THC may intoxicate the consumer and may be less powerful than Delta-9. To create Delta-10 THC, CBD is first extracted from the Hemp plant and then it is further processed into Delta-10. Anecdotal evidence state Delta-10 may provide the consumer a more "sativa-like high" where Delta-8 may be more sedative.

Delta-6a10a: According to Leafly, "Delta-6a10a is a cannabinoid found in trace amounts in cannabis & hemp plants and can be extracted from federally legal hemp by distillation. There is very little research on delta-6a10a so we are just beginning to understand what the compound can do. It is psychoactive and early anecdotal consumer reports suggest that it promotes confidence-boosting, productive effects. Hemp-derived Delta-6a10a is legal at the federal level, but check the specific producer’s website to see which states have shipping available."
THCH: According to Leafly "THCH is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in cannabis & hemp that was only recently isolated by researchers in 2020. Very little is currently known about THCH, and products containing THCH have only just started appearing on the hemp-based cannabinoid market radar. Early reports suggest that THCH may be significantly more potent than standard THC, but more research is needed to determine THCH’s effects."

HHC-O/HHC Acetate- Acetic anhydride is added to HHC molecule to create HHC-O. Creating a potentially 1.5-3 times more potent product than HHC.
THCV- a minor phytocannabinoid that may help with weight loss goals. It is non-impairing and works differently on CB1 receptors than THC. THCv may help reduce hunger, energize and focus the consumer without causing increased anxiety or intoxication.

K2/spice : This is NOT a true cannabinoid. It is extremely harmful to human health and should not be ingested by anyone. Per Leafly, "K2/Spice is typically created by spraying synthetic products like roach spray or acetone on plant material". Created by Clemson University professor John William Huffman. https://norml.org/blog/2011/06/08/inventor-of-synthetic-pot-k2-spice-says-legalize-the-natural-marijuana/
